The superbowl is fastly approaching, so preparations around it need to be at least be thought about. It’s hard to know exactly what is best, easiest and most delicious to serve or not serve. Appetizers are one thing that is a must. They are so practical and make sense for munching on throughout the entire duration of the big game. Whether you’re an avid football supporter or trendy commercial watcher, snacks are a mutual consensus of an absolute must for plopping in front the TV for plays upon plays and commercials upon commercials. But the question always is what should be made!? We need easy (no brainer), yummy (of course) and healthy (obviously). We wanted something that was high protein, gluten-free, healthy fat powerhouse and extremely versatile. Guac. Guacamole is such a stunner for so many reasons, but mostly because it’s so darn delicious. The rich, thick, creamy, magical sauce has us swooning for hours. Not only does it have us gobbling up the amount in front of us, we also can’t help but dream for the next time it makes its appearance on our plate. Yes, we do have an obsession. AND for good reason! The main ingredient in guacamole is avocados, which are loaded with fiber, vitamins and minerals, such as vitamin K, vitamin E, vitamin C, B-vitamins, potassium and copper. He’s got looks, personality and good health – it’s a triple threat kind of fatty fruit! A superfood, as they say.
