Reap the anti-aging benefits of cinnamon and honey with a DIY mask

The benefits of cinnamon and honey are just endless. We’ve enjoyed pairing these two wonderfully healing ingredients in tea, and most recently we took our relationship to the next level. We rolled up our sleeves, shut our eyes tight and rubbed a cinnamon honey paste all over our faces. Yes, we did!

It was sticky, gooey and gross, and we can’t recommend it enough. A simple cinnamon honey mask can work wonders for your skin. We’re talking age-defying, acne fighting, pore-tightening, black head destroying, collagen-boosting, stress relieving miracles!

And as if the absolutely ah-mazing benefits of this mask weren’t enough, it’s also super duper affordable, all-natural beauty remedy we can literally whip up with ingredients from the kitchen.

In case you’re wondering, how can two common household ingredients be so powerful for my skin? Cinnamon and honey are both natural anti-inflammatories, anti-fungals and antiseptics, so they’re both powerful agents for deep cleansing and soothing redness and irritation. Cinnamon and honey are also crazy powerful superfoods, which means they’re packed with anti-oxidants — translation: they’ll lead the fight against aging for tired, stressed out skin.

This simple face mask will leave you with a warm, glowing, beautiful complexion. So save yourself an expensive trip to the Clinique counter and give this DIY face mask a try!

SIMPLE DIY CINNAMON HONEY FACE MASK

Combine 1 teaspoon of cinnamon and 2 teaspoons of honey in a small bowl and mix thoroughly. Use clean fingers to spread the mask evenly over your face and neck. Let the mask sit on your face for 10 to 15 minutes (no licking!). Rinse your face with warm water and pat dry.

You can top this simple beauty regiment off by applying a gentle, natural toner (like this one!), or simply moisturize as usual.

NOTE: Too much of anything is no good for you. To avoid skin irritation, we don’t recommend using this mask more than once or twice per week.
