Gluten Free Chocolate Fondue

The best thing about gluten free fondue is that it sounds oh so fancy but it’s actually super simple to make. And after a long day on the slopes, it’s important to relax and treat yourself with something special. And easy. We can’t stress the easy part enough!

The second best thing about gluten free fondue is that it tastes good with everything. Especially when the fondue in question is gluten free chocolate fondue. Oh yes! Like the toppings on our Anything Goes Vegan Chocolate Bark recipe, the possibilities for fondue are truly endless.

Some of our favorite gluten free fondue dipping ingredients are as follows:

Pamela’s Gluten Free Graham Crackers

- Organic fruit! Pineapple, strawberries, apples, oranges, bananas. It all works with gluten free chocolate.

Udi’s Gluten Free cookies and brownies. Try one. Try all.

- Doumak marshmallows (be sure to save some leftovers for a mug of our #1 gluten free hot chocolate recipe)

Snyder’s Gluten Free Pretzels

Organic VerMints of all flavors. Just don’t drop ‘em!

The fondue dipping list could go on and on (please go ahead and share your own in the comments below), but more importantly, how to make a fondue? It’s actually easier than you think. No fancy equipment needed. Check it out:

INGREDIENTS

2 cups Hershey’s SPECIAL DARK Mildly Sweet Chocolate Chips

1 ½ cups unflavored heavy cream

A big plate of gluten free dippables

HOW TO MAKE FONDUE

Pour the chocolate chips into a large microwave safe bowl. Add enough cream to cover the chocolate — about one cup or so. Microwave in 30 second increments, stirring in between. Once chocolate is fully melted, add the remaining cream until you’re happy with the consistency of your fondue. If you don’t have a microwave, just use the double boiler method.

Use dessert forks, skewers, chopsticks, or toothpicks to dip and snack the night away!
