Healthy, Epic Thanksgiving Recipes

So, the other day it suddenly happened. It became November. What’s next December?! But before we get too far ahead, there's Thanksgiving! And ever since the turn of the month that’s all we could thing about. More specifically – what are we eating on Thanksgiving? We LOVE thanksgiving food, the dishes and toppings and dressings and sauces. Mostly, we love every bit of the thanksgiving feast. Even down to licking the bowl clean. Yes, its happened more than once. The Holiday has swallowed our minds. It’s virtually all we think about. At work. Pumping weights. In the shower. During dinner. Thanksgiving is in our constant stream of consciousness.

The only thing to do is make a list. And check it off. Kidding - but it felt right. No, but really, make a list of all the delicious possibilities, especially those from some of our favorite cooks! The hardest part in this whole debacle is figuring out what NOT to make, well at least for us. What flavors pair well together? What dishes seem most practical? But then there’s always that little voice that craves clashing dishes – definite kitchen problems - amiright?

Ok. The list! The list will help us sort this out. It’s the best place to start AND it IS a start. Plus we thought, just maybe, our friends might add some favorites, suggestions and/or tips (all are welcome and strongly encouraged). It’s a big food celebration and we want to make it the. Best. One. Yet.

Start scorllin’ and dreamin’ about your Thanksgiving dinner!

1.Cranberry Maple Skillet Cornbread

-This cornbread is a beautiful addition to your dinner spread – gluten-free with a hint of maple. Double drool. And it’ll impress the heck out of your friends and family – if you manage to save any for them.

2.Kale and Brussel Sprouts Salad with Apples and Hazelnuts

-This recipe is short, sweet and hella good. Who says all Thanksgiving dishes have to take forever?

3.Wild Mushroom Gravy

-A rich, unique, decadent topping to keep contained on your mash potatoes, or like us, drench it all over e.v.e.r.y.t.h.i.n.g. It’s bomb. NGL.

4.Cauliflower Rice Stuffing

-We love playing around with ingredients, especially if it makes an all-time favorite, healthier and gluten-free! Cauliflower stuffing is not messing around.

5.Vegan Pecan Pie

-And speaking of playing around with ingredients, did you know you can switch up traditional favorites and cater them to your specific dietary needs? Delicious Vegan Pecan Pie? Can’t even.

6.No-bake apple cobbler

-We’re inclined to make anything with apple in the title. No-bake, better-for-you apple cobbler had us hooked so good.

7.Kale and Wild Rice Casserole

-It’s delicious, healthy and gluten-free! Nice add-on for Thanksgiving din or weekends, Mondays, Wednesdays – well you see where this is headed..

8.Pumpkin Pear Crisps

-Gluten-free, crispy, treats – perfect for Thanksgiving or any occasion.

9.Salted Pumpkin Caramels

-Because sometimes you just need a sweet treat. Fresh, homemade caramels to add to your Thanksgiving feast.

10.Creamy Sausage Stuffed Mushrooms

-Sausage stuffed mushrooms. It’s a thing. And you have to try it. Perfectly flavorful little caps with the best kind of fillings – it’s to die for.

11.Butternut Squash Soup with Miso and Coconut

12.Mashed Potatoes with Caramelized Onions and Goat Cheese

13.Sweet Potato Cannelloni

14.Dark Chocolate “pudding”

-For something sweet - jam-packed with nutrients, this gluten-free dark chocolate avocado “pudding” wants to show your green juice what’s what. And no need to store this in the fridge – it won’t last a day.

15.Golden Beet Soup with Roasted Garlic Cashew Cream
